Step by step recipe with photoOf all the types of cabbage, broccoli is my number one choice! Probably no one eats as much broccoli as I do! In the summer I harvest about 10 kg of cabbage from the bed, and only a small part of it survives to freeze.
Broccoli is a very tasty cabbage, beautiful and surprisingly healthy, especially for women’s health. Broccoli can be used to make a huge number of wonderful dishes and today we are going to cook a very delicate side dish – broccoli in a thick creamy sauce. This dish is delicious and low in calories – only 180 calories per serving!
To prepare broccoli in cream sauce, prepare the products according to the list.
Boil the broccoli in salted water for about 3 minutes.
In a small saucepan or saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Stir in the flour.
Stirring with a spatula, lightly fry the butter mixture until golden.
Pour the cream into the ladle, add the nutmeg, salt and pepper. I add about 1.5 tsp. salt and 0.5 tsp. pepper for this amount of sauce.
Continue to cook, stirring with a whisk, for 2 to 3 minutes. When the sauce becomes thick and homogeneous, remove the ladle from the heat!
Place the cooked broccoli in the sauce and mix gently.
Broccoli in cream sauce is ready! Serve it as a side dish with boiled or baked white meat and fish. Bon appetit!
