COVID-19 FAQs

THANK YOU for your patience and support while making your way through this new dining experience with us. We’re grateful for your business and want to get back to “normal” as soon as possible!

This page will be updated as needed.

Do you have a dining area with heaters?

Yes! We’re working to keep our guests outside as long as possible now that the weather is getting colder. We’re also taking part in the #BYOBlanket campaign sponsored by Rhode Island Hospitality Association, so bring your favorite blanket and join us for dinner!

Are there any reservations?

Reservations are not available at this time. On a first come, first serve basis, we invite you to join us on our patio (when the weather permits)!

Is it permissible to bring your pet on the patio?

We have decided to NO LONGER allow dogs on our patio as of June 1. We hope to revisit this issue when the state of Rhode Island progresses to Phase 4. For additional information, please visit here or follow us on social media!

Do I have to give my name and phone number when I visit O’Brien’s Pub for dinner?

Yes. In the case of an epidemic, you will be asked to provide one person’s contact information for the Rhode Island Department of Health. This log must be kept for 30 days.

Is it possible to sit at the bar and order a drink?

The Go Bar is a service that serves alcoholic beverages. We only have a few bar seats outside, and the bar service is allowed as long as customers are seated. Service will not be given to standing clients unless they are picking up takeout food. Customers may only sit at the bar if no one is working behind it or if there is a clear.

Do you have tables that are too close together?

We have 8ft tables between them, and if necessary, they all have separable elements.

Do you provide live music or entertainment in addition to your spa services?

Unfortunately, no. Live entertainment must be at least 14 feet away from tables, and our outside location does not allow for this.

When do I have to wear a mask at O’Brien’s?

Unless you’re at your table, you must wear a mask. Masks are required for all walks to the washroom, entering/exiting the restaurant, and other instances when people are standing.

How many people can you seat at one table?

We can accommodate parties of 8 or less, but we have a limited number of tables that can seat this many people.

Do your workers take any precautions to ensure that they are both healthy and safe?

O’Brien’s Pub has a slew of regulations in place to ensure the safety of its customers, employees, and guests. All staff members are required to conduct daily temperature checks, wear masks at all times, and maintain constant sanitization and hand washing. We also maintain a work log with contact information for our staff in case of an outbreak.
