The hot summer weather is coming, when you really want something light and fresh. Vegetable salads are ideal in the summer weather, but sooner or later we still want something tasty, hearty and even salty. An excellent option to dilute the vegetable weekdays is a sandwich with delicious herring butter.

1. To make herring butter for sandwiches, we need to take a lightly salted herring and peel it from the skin and bones. If you have not cooked herring yourself, but bought it in the store, it may be quite salty. In that case, you can soak the herring fillets in plain water for 20-30 minutes before cooking.
