Minsky salad

Ingredients

Potatoes – 500 g

Fresh champignons – 400 g

Onions – 100 g

Sour cabbage – 120 g

Refined sunflower oil – 50 ml

Sugar – 15 g

Vinegar to taste

Salt – to taste

Green onions – 0.5 bunch (for decoration)

I would like to introduce our Belarusian cuisine to cooks and website users. There are a lot of dishes that come from the village. The salad I prepared is such a dish as well. Village cuisine has never been distinguished by special delicacies, but it has always been affordable and abounded in hearty dishes. Try it and see for yourself!

To prepare the “Minsk” salad you need to take potatoes, fresh mushrooms, onions, sauerkraut, refined sunflower oil, granulated sugar. Add salt and vinegar to taste. For decoration use green onions.

Lightly chop the cabbage.

Pour hot salted water over potatoes with their skins, boil them until soft, discuss, cool, peel and cut into small cubes or slices.

Clean the mushrooms, separate the legs, use only the caps.

Boil the mushrooms until tender, cool and slice.

Peel the onions and cut them into thin rings.

Combine all the prepared ingredients, acidify and salt to taste, sprinkle with sugar and dress with butter.

When serving, sprinkle the salad with chopped green onions.
