That’s what I mostly cook with defrosted pink salmon. Fresh pink salmon can be put into the batter raw, but defrosted salmon needs to be stewed beforehand to remove all the excess liquid.
Make yeast dough to your liking, or you can buy ready-made.

To bake a pink salmon pie, prepare the ingredients according to the list.
Chop the onion into thin but not small pieces and lightly fry in a pan with oil, lightly salt. Onions for the filling can be fried in butter or vegetable oil.
Then add the pieces of pink salmon fillets to the pan with the onions and stew all together for about ten minutes.
Form the pie into the desired thickness and shape: round or rectangular. The pink salmon pie can be baked on a baking tray or in a mold.
If you decide to make a round, you need to divide the dough into two halves: for the bottom and for the top, and if you want to leave a piece of dough for decoration.
On the bottom piece of dough lay the stuffing of onion and pink salmon, sprinkle it with spices, such as fresh chopped parsley herbs.
Top the filling with the second piece of dough.
Allow the cake to proof for about 15-20 minutes at room temperature.
To decorate the pie, I suggest making fish silhouettes out of pieces of dough. Brush the surface of the pie with a mixture of one egg yolk and a couple of teaspoons of cold water. Don’t forget to make punctures to allow steam to escape.
Place the tray or cake tin in the preheated oven and bake at 200 degrees until done. A tall pie like the one in the photo took about 40 minutes to bake. Smaller pies, with the filling almost done, bake more quickly…
